I went to sleep a little later than usual for a Sunday night yesterday so today I’m over-caffeinated to compensate. I have blogger to blame for my bleary eyes this morning, blogger and their sweet new templates. I know, I’m a little late with this review, but I wasn’t about to start screwing around with my babys before I was confident with the new system changes. It’s been difficult getting used to the new system. It’s wildly different from anything we ever had before and I had to start a couple of other blogs just to learn to navigate around it. Because of that I never bothered to tinker with my own blogs.

I’ve always loved bloggers simplicity. It works in such a way as to help make the most computer illiterate look like a web designing genius. So when they decided on this latest upgrade my brain simply went to mush. I felt overwhelmed and just couldn’t wrap my head around all the changes. I didn’t even try. I simply stopped using it. I stopped using everything. It was really sad now that I think about it though I’m sure there were many other forces at work there.

I tinkered around with my Wordpress which had gotten even more complicated than ever. It’s always been a thousand times more complicated than blogger which is why I’ve never used it. Actually, I’ve never used it because you can’t manipulate the templates easily. They want you to buy the awesome templates not create your own. Fuck all that I say. Fuck you Wordpress. I pretty much just use it to back up all my blogger blogs. (inert evil sinister laugh here…please add an echo to it as well.) Sure I have tumblr…who doesn’t? Can’t fuck with it either so who really needs it? It looks pretty though.

And quite simply no other blog services out there compare. I have Vox, Live Writer etc and none come close to the functionality, ease of use and maniputability… is that a word? *crickets* manipulability? Manipublahbiliteh! HAHA! Whatever the case may be blogger is so much awesomesauce as to be simply awesome.

Okay, I can't find utterli anymore and I think I've lost all of my pictures and video. Most of the video should have automatically uploaded to my youtube so that's not a problem, but the FLICKR uploads weren't automatic. not for a long time and i couldn't get anyone to help me with that issue for a really long time.

I think that's probably the reason why I stopped using it in the first place. Now it's gone and I have no way of retrieving any of those pictures. That's what I get for not doing it earlier when I had the chance. Who's the asshole now huh?

Anyway, this is my first listtle voki. I'm sure I just authorized them to give away my phone number to thousands of telemarketing lists, but fuck it. it was fun and easy to make. Now to see how functional it really is.

I've been trying out several new extensions on my Chrome explorer. Too many extensions in fact. It was apparent that there were too many extensions when my chrome browser started to wig out. I could barely move the cursor some times.

That always sucks, but there are so many cool tools that I just love and so many more that I'll probably only use once in a while. So, I've decided to keep only the ones I consider must haves and vital to my everyday life and keep one or two slots on my extensions list open for testing out new extensions. This is how I got to Aviary. Now, I don't actually see myself putting this site to good use. Not as much as I know I could, but it's fun just to try it out.

It's easy to use and to set up and even easier to copy the html to paste into a blog. Too bad there's no direct link to flickr or picasa where it would be of much better use to me. Archived and never to be looked at again, but in my mind...safe.

Well, I'm off to sift through the internet for yet another useless tool that I most likely will turn away in the end. This laptop is pissing me off too. It keeps fucking zooming in and out when I'm not even touching the stupid fucking touch pad. I must have messed with the settings and not realized it, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Imagine trying to type while you fucking screen zooms in and out and somehow trying not to skip a beat. Inevitably you have to stop to fix the zoom and that's just a fucking pain in the ass I do not care to continue having.

Stupid fucking laptop. Who's fucking idea was this anyway? Certainly not mine...I'm much smarter than that.

Now I'm wondering why I never heard of it and how did Utterli not get bigger than Snapvine? It really reminds me of the Slide type crowd. What happened there anyway? I remember when I used to love Slide and then it just got idiotic. It was so cool, but seriously...why would I want to destroy something I worked so hard to create with idiotic glitters and sparklies? I shit my pants whenever I see any of my pictures glitterfied. SHIT MY MOTHERFUCKING PANTS...

Oh wait, I was on about Snapvine. SO... I joined and created my widget, but they don't have a way to add your own skin. I'm going to try to see if I can do my own.

My title is going to be better than the content, but such is life when you have nothing better to say. I try out so many services whenever I have free time that I've decided to keep track of the things I've tried on this blog. I think I tried to do that in the past, but I don't believe I kept it up. Talk about dur!

Widgets...I go absolutely nutters over Widgets, but I can't exactly plaster all my blogs with widgets. It looks idiotic and so cluttered. That's probably what it looks like now in fact, but there are so many widgets to try that I go fucking apeshit throwing them on my blogs. I have so many blogs that I can't always take the time to put the same widget on each blog so each page always ends up looking screwed up. Like some ADD 'tard on too much medication was just handed a Monster and let loose on to unsuspecting internet victims. HAH! That's me to a T.

Oh yeah, Yedda. This little wonder is...wait, what the hell is it? I saw a widget, something about asking a question and that was it. My brain exited the building and I signed up. What the fuck is my problem with widgets?

Who cares. I'll just let the widget do the explaining.

WOW. Talk about taking the piss. Now, making money is making money and no one can blame a company for providing a great service on the internet for "free" then taking it back and charging for that same great service. Gcast, though, is seriously off their rocker. Why oh why would I ever pay $99 a year when they're limiting those that pay to 2 hrs per day? WHY?

I used this service when it came out (might have been a beta in fact). Meh...

So, how much is too much I ask? As most of you have noticed there isn't as much going on around here as there used to be. I mean there is, but it's...different. I suddenly realized why that is, aside from the marketers bogging things down of course. No international callers. Most of the voice utters I listened to were from overseas friends in different parts of the world. How sad was that? I mean that they were cut off that is.

With all of the companies Utterli utilizes for crossposting you would think that some income was being generated through those affiliations but is it and would that alone be enough? How can it be? Why can't Utterli make use of all those great features companies like YouTube provide it's affiliates? If we opened ourselves up to more sharing perhaps that could open up another revenue stream? If we allow users to embed videos or pictures actually driving traffic back to those sites somehow couldn't a site like this make a killing? I have no clue because I've no idea how that really works.

I have an ulterior motive of course. I want to use Utterli like my base of operations. It should act as my multifunctional, full service blog station with all the bells and whistles known to man.

Listen, I'm no one. I have nothing to really sell. I'm just a girl with nothing better to do at the moment (hold on, answering phone) ... yeah, than answer the phones. I use my blogs mostly to archive bits of my life and the world around me at the moment simply to pass the time.

I work fast, I'm good at my job and because of that I may end up with absolutely nothing to do but answer phones some days. Even when I'm busy I'm surfing the net, leaving comments here and there or just reading. In the last 9 years I've probably taken a total of 5 lunch breaks. I'm not joking.

Basically speaking I really only use sites like this if I have access at work, it's functional and it's entertaining. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less, simple. I'm searching and have been searching over the last 3-4 years for the perfect spot. I'm searching for my own veritable smorgasbord of blogging tools that lets a simple user like me fully enjoy all of the internets wonders from one little place. Why? I have no idea actually. No clue.

All I know is I want it first, I want it now and if I can't have it I'm leaving in a huff. I'm warning you. I'll whip my hair around and stick you in the eye with it. I'll break out with my ghetto neck move...Don't make me get my neck on!

(LMFAO! The only one that's going to get that title now is my husband. lolz *snicker*)

My Review of Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer on Drugstore.com:

My eyes are still on fire.

Last night I sat on my couch withe Dr. Miracle's Healing Oil in my hair. I put the lotion on my face first so as not to contaminate my hands with the Oil and accidentally get it in my eyes. It was the first time I ever used Cetaphyl with SPF.

It wasn't long before my eyes began to burn and I felt stinging all around my eyes. I thought It must have been the Oil so I immediately rinsed my eyes. It still stung, but it was better. Before I went to bed I applied some of the lotion generously, being careful not to get it in my eyes. Again, my eyes began to sting so I shut them tight and jumped into bed. I figured it has to be my hair.

Today, I opened my eyes and they stung just a little. I figured rather than suffer all day long I would wash the Oil out and be done with it. As soon as the bathroom got a little steamy my eyes burned again. I tried to keep my eyes under water as long as I could after the Oil was all rinsed out. Every time I moved away from the water my eyes began to sting again. It was starting to get annoying. I was sure I was being extremely careful.

Once I was out of the shower and my hair in a towel my eyes felt great. No stinging. Must definitely be the Oil... I began to moisturize my face again, this time only using a very light amount to prime for my makeup. My eyes stung like a very nasty chemical got in them, but I didn't get anything in my eyes. The skin all around my eyes puffed a bit and it stung all the way down to my cheekbones.

It actually burned so bad I couldn't open my eyes at all. I've poked my eyes with mascara. Like literally poked a giant glob of mascara on my EYEBALL with the wand. It hurts and it's no joy, but never have my eyes burned like this with a moisturizer. Not even the crap I'm actually allergic to. My husband had to lead me to the bathroom to wash my face.

STILL, to be quite sure, i tested it again on one cheek making sure i don't put it anywhere near my poor sore eyeballs. The eye on that cheek began to sting again and the skin began to get warm.

That is NOT cool at all. NOT COOL. What the hell did they test this stuff on? I use Cetaphyl because I'm allergic to nearly everything else on the market. It's the only cream I can use. I trusted it. It was the only product I actually trusted. I'm horribly upset because I'm sitting here wasting my time pounding away on a keyboard I can't see and squinting at a monitor that's now hurting my eyes so much I have to turn the lights down.

I don't understand how they could put a product like that on the market. I'd love to know how this was tested.

The Maw was just released on the Xbox Live Arcade on the 21st and it's the cutest game I've seen this year so far. For an Arcade title it's more than worth the MSP's and as soon as I add more points I'm adding it to my list of Arcade titles.

The story revolves around a little blue alien called Frank that runs around with a purple blob like pet named Maw. You navigate Frank in 3rd person mode who then drags Maw around on a leash while gobbling up every little creature in it's path. The more Maw eats the bigger he gets.

I know that doesn't sound like much, but to tell the truth I like to play games for the story. The gameplay has a big role in my decision and sometimes so do the graphics, but the story line is what really reels me in. So far the developers of The Maw have managed to wrap me up in the storyline from the start and that's what I enjoy the most.

If you can keep my attention for more than 5 minutes with the intro and not make the controls so complicated that the trial takes forever to get started then you just might get me to add more points. :)

I usually just play the demo's in the Arcade and never buy them. There are actually quite a few that I would love to buy, but I don't throw my Microsoft points away unwisely. Plus, if it's not great, I won't have it take up space on my Xbox. Of course, because I shared my box with Rigid for a long time I didn't always have a choice.

Whatever the case may be, I remember kind of liking this game. For an Arcade title that is; not enough to buy it though.

This is a "so so" version of countless other dungeon crawlers and pretty much not my bag. The character classes include "Soldier", Archer", and "Sorcerer" that you can play with one other gamer on Live.

As in most of these games you'll gain experience as you vanquish your foes filling up your battle meter as you go along to morph into a phoenix, lion or dragon, depending on the class you choose.

It's too bad it just didn't have what it takes to impress anyone. Even ING gave it a mediocre rating and I deleted it after about 2 or 3 goes.

This game came out a long time ago on the Arcade as a freebie and I have to say it was one of the BEST freebies I have seen in EVER on the Live Arcade.

This side scrolling shooter blasts you through screen after screen of enemy fighters. It has been compared to the famous "Bullet Hell" sub-genre of manic shoot-em up video games as it almost completely bombards you and your team with endless bursts of enemy fire.

You and a multiplayer team of 3 other gamers can log on and enjoy the mayhem together. The power ups and health pickups aren't great, but very necessary. You can also choose a navigator and connect your ship to theirs for bigger better blasting power, but beware of those tight spaces! It's always the ship in the back that gets it first!

This game is just nuts so if you haven't tried it go for it. I'm actually not sure if it's still free, but I've never gotten rid of mine and every once in a while you'll still see me on it.

My Rating: 8.5

Joint Strike is a classic vertical scrolling shooter w/ 2 player co-op multiplayer action. I actually never played it, but I did ask Rigid Raider if he'd tried it and what his thoughts were on the game.

And I quote, "It F'ing sucked. It was a bad remake of the original. Why?"

I have no idea what he's talking about, but I'll take his word for it. There are few vertical scrolling games that I would actually recommend. Quite frankly they bore me and if I have to mash buttons to play you can definitely forget about it.

When asked what rating he would give it he gave it a 3.5.

Ah well, so much for my first review huh?

Picasa, I Will Never Pay I Say!!!

i decided to try out picasa in beta mode. i've tried it before and i never really took to it. i love all the services google picks up, but not always. especially if they want to charge to upgrade.

i'm sorry, but everyone on the planet wants you to pay for their service and quite frankly...i don't. i'm not interested in paying anymore than i should, which is nothing. why pay for something you can get elsewhere for free?

i have unlimited storage use at flickr because they're affiliated with at&t who also happens to provide my internet. well...they're smart aren't they? that means that so long as i keep at&t i can have unlimited downloads/mo and multiple folders. there's never a cap to your yearly limit either.

i don't care that 400gb is more storage than i'll ever need. i don't care! i'm NEVER going to pay for storage of my pictures ever again! so if picasa thinks they're going to get any money out of me it's NEVER going to happen.

BUT there are a few features that will make my life a little easier and so, i think i'm keeping the sucker this time around. we'll see how future updates to the service go.

i say picasa needs a smudge button and other cool little tools. like the ones they have on flickr...only even better and FREE!!!!

last week we saw wanted w/ Angelina Jolie and a bunch of other people who's names i don't give a crap about.

i never pay much attention to people's names and it's a miracle if i can actually remember anyone, let alone actually spell their names. i don't know why, it's just the way i am. i think this is what makes it very easy for me to simply enjoy a film for what it is, a film and nothing more.

the players can define a story line and give it the depth that it needs and that's great, but ultimately their personal lives are of no consequence to me.

when i saw the previews for this flick i knew i'd love it and i wasn't disappointed. there were only a couple of points that were a bit on the irritating side.

towards the end the main character fires off a weapon that he had previously used to block a knife which had subsequently lodged itself in the barrel of his gun. he then fired off a round and the knife, rather a pick of some kind, fired out of the barrel towards the assailant. this is more than impossible and in my opinion can't be explained away as being part of the powers which allowed these people to spin bullets. it's just silly.

we're not talking about a split second here...we're not even talking about half a split second. the less than millisecond that it would take to fire the weapon would have been enough to blow his hand off and quite possibly part of his face. there can't even be a little dirt down the barrell of a gun or it will most definitely backfire on you, let alone a metal object.

i can deal with messing with physics, breaking out with matrix type effects, but that for some strange reason was way too much of a stretch for me.

that and the rats. although there was no better way to carry out that little feat there wasn't enough time for the rats to get to every single part of that building to blow it up like that. yes, it's a movie, but by the time all those little critters got to every room those guys would have more than run out of bullets and the main character would have been sitting in that van for quite a while. of course, that's just my silly opinion.

other than that everything was cool. i liked the special effects and the action was lots of fun. i figured the twist out really early on so it wasn't a shocker when i fot to the end. you could pretty much tell what was happening from the start.

the "bad guy" had plenty of time to kill him before if that was what he wanted to do. but who cares, it was fun.

that and Angelina is hot....just fucking hot. :P

i saw this movie and loved it. i'm actually surprised at just how much i loved it. it was entertaining, funny and really cute.

the special effects weren't exactly to die for, in fact some of it was a little comical, but not bad. and the story line was cute.

in fact, the whole thing was cute...just cute.

a fun movie to watch at the supersaver, our semi-local "buck 50" movie theater.

I finally did see Indiana Jones. I enjoyed it very much. Harrison Ford does look good, but it took me a few seconds to adjust to a 65 year old Indiana Jones. I am not sure why that was because I have seen the trailer from the movie. Maybe it is effect of seeing a 65 year old Indiana Jones on the big screen. Anyway I got over that pretty quick.

I am watching this movie aware of the negative criticism of certain parts, but I found most of it to be rather extreme. There is a complaint about Indiana Jones just letting things happen at the end of the movie without any active involvement. Indiana Jones does spend the entire movie getting to the end location so he should get some credit for that. All these movies are about a journey to a certain place and once you get there, it doesn't seem to require any more active involvement. Look at the end of Raiders of The Lost, doesn't the end just seem to happen without Indiana Jones' involvement.

Then there is the one sequence in the movie that many seem to despise, which is being called The Tarzan Sequence. Considering the amount of crap that was thrown at this scene, I was expecting something that was going to look absolutely terrible, but I thought it was a cute scene. The comparison to the CGI monkeys in that scene to the CGI monkeys in Jumani is way off base. I thought the monkeys looked pretty damn good. They actually looked like monkeys as opposed to the Jumani monkeys. Okay the CGI in the fight sequence especially with Mutt doing the sword fighting did look like CGI, but it didn't ruin the crazy fun of the movie. If you look at all the Indiana Jones' movies, they all have wildly kinetic chase sequences.

The thing to remember about the Indiana Jones' movies is that these are not actuate historical dramas. They take some truth and weave a story around it, a story that relies. The Nazis were looking for religious artifacts. That's the truth. The Russians did explore Psychic Phenomenon. I know the big reveal at the end, although really you get a hint earlier where the end is going, is hard to take for some, but it does fall in the realm of an Indiana Jones movie set in the 1950s. In comparison to the other movies, it is a lighter adventure on par with Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, although by lighter I don't mean light weight. Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom is probably as dark as you get without protests.

Now I want to know what everyone reading this felt about the movie especially from Buckshot and Maharet. Don't hold back because of anything I said.

The one sequence which I thought was totally out of place was the graphic sex scene with Indiana Jones.....ohh sorry that's not Indiana Jones. I confused that with a movie called Indiana Bones. That may be a fake title, but I am surprised an adult knock off hasn't been made yet. Edward Scissorhands did become Edward :cough cough: hands.

BUT i do think the end was very out of place for this particular movie and that's because it's was far too grandiose. every ending in all those movies was big or brilliant in their own way but the only real problem i had with it was the fact that (and the space ship didn't fly off it disappeared into another dimension.) it just didn't blend well into the movie. it was too much. i loved it the whole way through. i really did. even the continuity problems didn't bother me so much. the ketchup bottles, hair in/out of place, the skull... oh my the skull. so when they get to area 51 and indy uses the gun powder the skulls super magnetic power sucks everything metal towards it. neato... i thought it was neat at least. but, gee that's one powerful towel they were using to cover the skull which amazingly dampened the skulls terrible magnetic pull. um... too silly. i thought the monkey scene was super cute. i did roll my eyes, but i don't care. i'm still buying the film and i don't give a crap that sex and the city beat it out this weekend. i could care less. I say anyone that hasn't seen it, go see it. I know part of the difficulty is in mixing science fiction with action adventure, but if you stop to think about it science fiction and anthropology do go hand in hand. If you've ever seen the history channel you will understand why and its something nearly every Egyptologist has researched or come across in some fashion. I say, people need to get over that and just enjoy the film right? even me! lol Delete Comment

BatGirlMcGee 05-31-2008 I liked it and I too had to take a few seconds to adjust to a old Indiana Jones. It was not as bad as the harsh criticism is got said it would be, but then again I've been an Indiana Jones fan for quiet awhile now. ;x

BuckshotGeorge 05-30-2008 I thought the movie was good. I just expected to be amazed. So I left feeling a little flat. I had no problems with the CGI. The only part I thought it faltered was when Marion drove off the cliff into a tree, the car looked like it shifted position and didn't hit it's actual trajectory. And there was one scene, where you see Indy and Marion, possibly in the back of a truck when captured, the background looked like it was like when Superman used to fly back in the late 70's. Not a bad thing, just made it look cheap. I suppose if anything, it just didn't feel like an Indian Jones movie. The adventure was lost, and too much time was spent putting together a sizeable plot which needed lots of explaining. I hate to say it, but the way it skipped from scene to scene in the first hour was too much like National Treasure 2. And Indy is better than that. I dont think it hit stride til the jungle chase, and then it flowed really well. I knew as soon as they were Area 51 that it would involve Aliens, and that a spaceship would fly off in the end. I just didn;t want that too happen. I still enjoyed it, it's just not the Temple of Doom.....I think too much time has passed for it to be brought back again

the other day on utterz a contact set up a giveaway for an early demo of this game. i was so excited that i was the very first to respond to his utter that he just gave me the demo even though he was originally going to pick the names out of a hat.

it took me a couple of days to play it. i really should have entered the code the second i got it because the download took forever. i could have just let it happen overnight, but it was the first thing i did friday afternoon when i got home from work. 1 hr later and 8% download completed i said fuck it all and jumped on my trusty cod4 with my trusty cod4 friends and played all god damned mother fucking day. it was a great day... in fact, i played that day until 4am.

the next day the download was complete, but i didn't get the chance to try it out until that evening. my first impression was good. i liked the graphics and the character movements. all those tiny little details made the game look great and if i had a better tv it would have been the shit. i like the concept of the story line and the game play wasn't bad.

it wasn't all that good either. it felt a little jerky, i don't like half the screen being taken up by a scope or sight. and i'm really starting to hate the run button all the fps'. the dreaded left analog stick run system. my thumb is starting to fail me so i end up taking twice as long to get everywhere.

doesn't really matter much though because i don't need to run long distances. from the beginning i jumped into a truck, then another and another. through out the game you can jump into any vehicle, tank, chopper and who knows what else.

i had fun on the game, but sometimes there was so much going on all around you that you just didn't know which direction to point your gun at. i mean shit was going off right next to my feet. explosives were hurling at me from everywhere. once i learned to ignore the explosives and not fear them (i'd made my peace with death) i was able to fully concentrate on the enemy and once i'm concentrating you're dead fucking meat.

after that the demo was a total piece of cake and i finished it much faster than i would have liked. so, then i jumped on the multiplayer bit. the words insanity do not even begin to cover it. i died as soon as i figured out how to get in on the game. i didn't understand the option of spawning with your friends or spawning in your camp so i never knew where i was when i spawned. the tutorial might have helped, but i'm too impatient.

i tried nearly every single weapon and realized that i sucked at absolutely everything. i tried something that looked like my rpg on cod4 and hated it.... at first.

in those first few games i was being demolished and not had no clue what was up from down. i was being bombarded by helicopters, giant guns that launch these huge explosives (i need to ask rigid what they are.), getting sniped, stomped, trucked over by a tank and trucks, riddle to death with bullets by gunners on vehicles or sitting in the passenger seat....fragged, shot, knifed and quite possibly ass raped.... oh! and drowned. i may have drowned, i can't remember. maybe i tried to drown myself when i tried to run away from an enemy in the river. "you'll never take me alive i say!"

as the evening wore on the gamers slowly began to disappear and then it was 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 games. by then i'd figure out a lot more stuff on my own and really started to thoroughly enjoy every single aspect of the game.

i even drove a boat down a river AND shot the shit out of someone. i fixed an enemy tank...it was an accident, but then i started doing it because it was hysterical. i tried to give enemies health packs... they looked a little sickly and you know, as a medic it's your responsibility to think of the lives of others too... it's only humane.

suffice it to say that the support kit was my favorite. too bad i won't be able to unlock it unless i buy the gold edition of the game:

not sure if i've written about this game before. right now i'm loving it. i've been playing cod4 since it pretty much came out. i had to buy another 360 just to get rigid off my console. i don't have as much time to play as i used to. in fact even if it did my wrist would probaby fall off.

it's been giving me a lot of trouble lately because i've been gaming more than usual, but i don't care. i'm studying like crazy and gaming and that's about it. i don't have much time for anything else and i don't want to. i'll ocassionally go out for a social thing or a family thing, but i just don't have the time i used to.

SO it's all about the call of duty right now. if it weren't for this game i don't know what i'd be playing. in fact i'd probably be on my 3rd go at mass effect. i still haven't even finished assasin's creed.

i got the new maps a while back and i finally went presteige. i was NOT interested in going preteige before, but for a while there i was actually starting to get bored with the game. going presteige wasn't as bad as it sounds. i mean, yeah you lose all your weapons but it's so much more fun than sitting there without a sense of accomplishment. that's the thing isn't it? that's why we play ranked games day in and day out.

i wish i had the time to play with every single one of my friends. i don't have the time to run my own rooms anymore so i'm always shuttling around between this room and that room; these friends and those friends. but at least no one expects all that much from me anymore. it's not as much pressure to switch rooms all of a sudden so i find it a lot easier to jump on for a few games with some old friends and then to the next with some new.

team deathmatch (tdm) (the giant one with domination and deathmatch) is a lot of fun to play with my gtp friends. it's a bit too nuts for me and very fast paced. the 16 player rooms fill up fast, the lag can be pretty bad and in those rooms everything goes. there's no martyrdom courtesy that's expected in hardcore (hc). and no one cares that they're constant fragging after every single spawn is RETARDED and killing the game.

this is why i prefer hardcore over team deathmatch games. rigid's friends are really nice people and i'd rather hang out with my husband. some of his friends are idiots, but i still like them. they're idiots much like me so it works out well. also these rooms are much more quiet than tdm making it much easier for me to hear what's going on in the game. problem is hc can be a lot more difficult to play.

there's no reticle, you're exptected not to use martyrdom as a courtesy to fellow gamers and fraggin or nube tubing is simply not the done thing. unless you're very proficient at it. team killing (tk) is simply unacceptable. not only will you get the third degree from your team mates, but the respawn penalties are horrible not to mention your score drops each tk. (i think lol)

still, hc rooms are my favorite rooms at the moment and it's pretty much all i'll play. because of this i usually dominate in regular tdm rooms, but lately because my wrists hurt so bad and i refuse to take any medication for it i've been sucking ass. big hairy wet ass... plus i HATE domination.

headquarters, domination and that other one where you have to do a bomb thing... whatever. can't stand those games. too much running. in the beginning it was so much fun. ELIMINATION! that's the bomb thingies name. it's a fun match, but it got boring after a while and so did all the others.

now we're just waiting for more maps! love china town, creek is annoying and i've never seen that little one. not once!

OH and this was the very first online game i've ever played with a co-worker! Fatmonster001 is my friend at my firm and it's been so much fun gaming with him. a little embarassing because my cod4 friends can be abrasive and rather dirty. i'm usually about as professional at work as i can muster and i find it a little difficult to share my filthy underground gaming life with the real world.

still, it's so much fun!

I was just reading a few posts down about the day I heard Armored Core 4 was coming out. I was so excited I could have eaten my own poop. I remember the day I brought the game home.

It was like...magical. Too bad the game sucked monkey balls. I was so fucking disapointed it's not even funny. I still haven't finished the game and I bought it ages ago. Man, I don't think I even got past the first 5 levels. Maybe I set it too hard. Maybe the truth is that I really do suck...Maybe I'm the one that sucks monkey balls!!! RIGID! Rigid has monkey balls....lol

One day I shall go back to that game and finish it on easy, like stupid easy. I'll set up a new AC and just be done with it.

Back in the day when I first started playing this on the playstation it was the shit. Better than sliced bread I tell you. I loved it and I coudln't get enough nor could my friends. The third Armored Core game I got wasn't all that great either, but I figured the graphics would be fantastic on the 4th game and I was right.

It's a beautiful game. The graphic's alone are enough to make you weep and bring you to your knees...grab you by the bollocks and pinch really hard.... wait...what?

Yeah, so even though I hated the game and never picked it up again I am still loyal to the series (if anything ever comes out again) and I'll always be a fan. The intense amount of fun I used to have playing the old games is enough for me to waste my money forever on something I'll probably only play once.

THAT'S how I feel about Armored Core....

I love you Kayhman...I still have you on a memory card somewhere. One day I'll take you back out and treat you to a really perfect generator...maybe some lube.... a new paint job and some really fucking kick ass monster guns..... one day.

A friend introduced the Xbox to me and The Master Cheif. Good times. I think anyone that's never tried it should at least once, but you need plenty of friends to try it with.

Halo isn't something you can enjoy to the fullest all on your own. Great games and really great graphic's from the start.

The story is amone the very best out there, but I do have to say the last one wasn't all that great. Story wise and graphics wise it was as close to perfection as you could get, but the playability didn't live up to the hype.

I still have Halo 3 and I doubt I'd ever go so far as to get rid of it, but I don't have many friends who are still willing to go a few rounds and even when I do it's just not as much fun as it used to be. Well, they're pretty much the only thing that makes it fun.

Too bad too.

I loved every single Harry Potter book I've ever had the pleasure of getting my hands on. A co-worker suggested I read the book. She was a really irritating girl, but I liked her a lot.

She insisted I read all the books and back then there were about 3. When I got through the first I couldn't wait to get my hands on the rest and when I was done with those waiting for the next book was painful.

It's not often that happens to me anymore. I recommend the series to anyone young and old.

I would, however, like to see some more analysis from the two. They are really smart guys - instead of just telling me what happened tell me why you think it's interesting or important! I want to hear those thoughts. Maybe that's tough, since they're both employees of Microsoft?

i'm not familiar with prey, but to tell you the truth i wasn't as impressed as my husband was. i think the problem is that i've never really liked games that play like a computer game....like quake. i know i'm probably going to get it from quake fans. it's a great game, but really...i don't like feeling like there should be a mouse in my hand.

the graphics were outstanding though, and the story felt really solid. also, the fact that there's no waiting between the game play and the cut scenes is great. what am i talking about, there weren't any cut scenes. i do love that. rigid, my husband, was so impressed with it from the start that he kept getting out of the ocean just to hear the water fall off when he got out.

i guess it's the attention to detail that's really struck him. taking the time to solve those little puzzles in order to hack the flying machines was a lot of fun as well. rigid played the game as i told him where to go or if he missed something. when it was time to do a puzzle we were off guard, but i helped him solve it the first time.

the point of that is that i felt completely immersed in the game even though i wasn't playing at all. this is one of those games (like parasite eve, resident evil, silent hill) that you can just kick back and enjoy as someone else plays and not feel one damn bit annoyed that you don't have the controller in your hands. there hasn't been a game out there that can hold my attention like that in a LONG.....LONG time.

all in all: two thumbs, two toes and two...well, i won't go there. LOL

This looks like it might be absolutely idiotic. Because it's a Mature game though it peaks my interest. It may actually be kind of fun. I mean plenty of blood and gore always make me a happy bunny so it's also something to think about.

This is the last game I have time for today. Back to work! I'm sure I'll find more though. If anyone else finds anything on the Xbox backwards compatability list let me know of post it up on the group site and well take it into consideration for the next game purchase.

I could be interested in this game, but I can't easily find information regarding the Live service. Some of the things I'd like to know is if it supports Split Screen and how many players are allowed in a team online. I've noticed that in Co-Op mode on GRAW it only allows a two man team. I don't know if that's to do with my server or if that's all it'll allow. I don't like that at all. It's a much better and more rewarding experience when you can take a team of 4-6 on a mission and just have at it. It's probably why I loved the Rainbow 6 series so much. Too bad for lockdown though...I don't know what it was about the gameplay, but it sucked ass.

YOUR SHITTING ME!!!! Armored Core 4???? If you could have seen my jaw hit my desk you would have peed your pants laughing. ARMORED CORE dudes! That's my game!!!! That's my game!!!! I still have all my original Armored Core characters from my Playstation. OMG... I'm going to pee my panties.

I have to find out when this game is coming out!.....

OH NO!!! THE HORROR, THE FAGGETRY!!!!! It's not due to be realeased until the spring of 2007. That means anything could happen, delays, set backs and even more delays! I'm mortified. I was hoping it would be out this christmas. Well, so be it. That just means I have until the spring of next year to get set up with my 360. Hopefully the new batches come out by then, otherwise I'll have to settle and take my chances like everyone else.

Games On My Slivr

Ever since Rigid and I got our Motorola Slivr's we've actually done more gaming on our phones than we've done on Xbox Live. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but still...Its really cool. As you start to run out of money you can bet your possessions...actually what you do is turn your possessions in and exchange them for money. Then you can restart a game with however much money you've got. I've even won some jewlery from the other poker players. I've spent hours playing that one

This month I bought another one of my all time favorite games. Mahjong by Jamdat. I used to be so into it that I ran out to China town and bought myself some Mahjong tiles. The damn thing is so heavy I don't like to play with them. But it's fun if all your doing is solitaire because the actual 4 person game is so hard to learn that you can't easily take any friend and teach them how to play. It's a nightmare playing with 2 people so solitare is the way to go for me. You have to clear all the levels to get to the rank of Emperor, so far it's actually been a little boring because it's so damn easy. Maybe the difficulty level will increase, but I don't see any function for that.

Rigid has a few cool games on his too, Blackjack, Snooker and Jewel Quest. This is also an all time great.

These little games are a great way to pass the time and we play them at least once a day.

Morrowind The Elder Scrolls

I was sort of milling around at the Gamestop in Bell Gardens not really knowing which game to buy. There were quite a few games I needed... Scratch that. Wanted. I settled on Morrowind because I've yet to come across an RPG style game that I would actually enjoy on Xbox. I tried to play this game several times though and I never could get into it too much. The load times were too damn slow and the character started off with such low health a gnat could have bitten him and he'd end up dead on the floor. He also walked so slow it would make you feel as though the character was treading through mud neck deep.

Well, I eventually did pick it up and play it more. I had to create a new character though so I was a little miffed. I accidentally stole a very shiny plate that caught my eye. Before I knew it I was lying dead on the floor at the feet of a guard in very shiny gold armor and a very long sword. I then overwrote the game with the new game when the game restarted. Yeah, that's confusing and I'm not going to elaborate any further. I fucked that game up over and over again until I got the hang of it. Eventually I was on my way and stealing things left and right wherever I went. I didn't quite get the jail thing so I paid my fines If I had any... I tried a few of the little side quests, but I simply wasn't strong enough. That and I was naked. I didn't realize the guy just had some pampers on. Crazy game developers. So I clothed the poor guy and eventually built up his strength, bought him some armor and made sure I had some money on me at all times. I decided It was time to go fight something. Everything else before simply killed me on the spot. You know... 'cause I was neekid.

Now that I had me some shiny new armor I knew It would be time to get out there and kill me some monsters. A charecter in the city called Balmora directed me to a womans house. Apparently she had some rat problems. "Rat's?", I said? Phff... Let me at 'em. I made it over there through the cobble stoned alleyways and entered her home. That bitch was rude let me tell you. They're all rude in fact. Still I needed to kill those rats! So I went at the first one. I thought I was doing something wrong because this rat nearly killed me. I felt brave though because I had defeated it so I saved and moved on to the next rats upstairs. I don't think I'm in anyway exaggerating when I say that I had to restart about 17 times. 17!!!!! Each load time is about 4-5 min long! Multiply that times the amount of time I actually spent trying to tweek my charecter!!!! I probably tried for two hours before I finally gave up to steel more stuff that I might be able to sell to increase my armor points.

I was so pissed off that by the time Rigid came home I was ready to throw the controller out of the window. Well, Rigid sat down with me and started giving me some pointers. Rigid... the guy that swears that movie clips in games suck and only detract from a game. The guy that thinks reading in anything in a game is boring. The guy that things story lines in games are usless. The guy that swore he HATES rpg's with a passion!!! He actually sat down with me and started to enjoy the game with me. In fact he started to get on my nerves tell me what to do. Little did I realize that the tips he was giving me would actually work. Well, I could go on about this all day, but I eventually got stuck. I got so badly stuck that I literally gave up.

He came to my rescue and pretty much took over my game. Now I can't get him off of it. In fact... my character is not my own anymore. Rigid has turned my lovley charecter into an assasin. A cold blooded murderer... But he kicks so much ass!!!

Used Games Of The Month has been created to keep track of any games I've used during one specific month. Don't really know why yet all I know is that I can't stop thinking that I really needed this page. It will include video games played, used titles, borrowed games & purchased games.
